Anti-Dandruff Regimen

Dandruff is a common condition that causes the skin on the scalp to flake. Actually both dry scalp and dandruff causes the skin to flake. 

The main cause of dandruff is seborrheic dermatitis, a condition where the scalp turns oily, red, and scaly. The white or yellow scales flake off, creating dandruff. You can get seborrheic dermatitis anywhere you have oil glands, including your eyebrows. 

A dry scalp also results in flakes that look like dandruff, but they are just flakes and not technically “dandruff”.

In most cases, a fungus called malassezia triggers dandruff. Certain factors causes this fungus to grow rapidly, such as:

• Age can be one major reason for the quick multiplication of this fungus
• Hormonal imbalance can also lead to rapid growth of malassezia
• Stress and anxiety can also trigger it

Flaky scalp can be sue to a multiple reasons, such as:

• Sensitivity to hair care products
• Dry and under moisturised scalp
• Irritated and oily scalp
• Not cleaning enough
• Other skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema
