    Mode Of Action

How Are They Going To Help

    • Argan Oil

This oil is very rare as it is rich in fatty acids which is a blessing for all skin types (including acne prone). When applied topically, the tocopherol from Vitamin E helps in boosting cell production and promotes healthy skin.

Both Oleic and Linoleic acid are excellent for skin and more specifically, towards acne prone skin. Linoleic acid will reduce inflammation and improve moisturization, Oleic acid will increase the permeability of the skin.

It supports repair and maintenance of healthy skin. It has been a very popular home remedy for treating inflammatory conditions of the skin.

    • Jojoba Oil

It is one oil that is structurally and chemically similar to human sebum. Sebum is an oily, waxy substance secreted by the sebaceous glands. It waterproofs and lubricates our hair and skin.

It is very effective in treatment for acne; since structurally it is very similar to sebum, when applied to the face, it tricks the skin into believing it has produced enough sebum. Thus the production of sebum decreases and balances out, and so does the acne. Eventually, the face will be less oily, but will still be moisturized and protected.

It also prevents clogging of pores and in fact it helps in unclogging of the already clogged pores.

Regular use of the oil will ensure that the skin is properly moisturized, but without the oily feeling. It is important that we keep our skin moisturised and hydrated. It is a good substitute for body butters as well.

    • Moringa Oil

The healing and beautifying benefits of Moringa oil have been documented for thousands of years. It is a well kept secret in the cosmetic industry and now has gained popularity among the health conscious consumers. The oil is very rich in healthy antioxidants. Also due to its molecular composition it gets easily absorbed into your skin and leaves no greasy residue.

It provides a protective barrier against the environment in order to maintain good skin quality.

Moringa oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which is why it can be used for minor skin complications like  bruises, burns, insect bites, rashes, and sunburn.

    • Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree’s active properties are antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antifungal. The striking germ-fighting properties make tea tree oil a valued natural remedy for treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, preventing infection and promoting healing. The reputation given to this oil as a cure-all given to this oil is not an exaggeration. Tea tree oil can be used as a cure for almost all topical infections. It has the potential to fight against acne and breakouts.

It has also shown good results in fighting against inflammatory conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

A patch test is always recommended.

*Always remember to dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil before applying it directly on the skin.

    • Rose Water

Emotionally and spiritually, rose has a long history of graciously lifting the mood, and it is believed to help control temper and irritability. It is widely used to calm and settle the mind and emotions, nourish the heart, and enliven the spirit. Rose water nourishes skin health and restores skin's radiance, beauty and youthfulness. It also helps restore moisture balance and is used to enhance circulation, support heart health and encourage healthy blood pressure.

Rose water has anti-inflammatory properties, which means it can be put on the skin to soothe the irritation caused by conditions, such as eczema and rosacea.

Due to the antioxidants present in rose water, it helps to strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissues. It also helps maintain the pH balance and controls excess oil. It also has astringent-like properties that help toning the skin. Application of rose water after taking a steam reduces redness and also tightens the capillaries.

    • Sweet Almond Oil

Almonds are absolute powerhouses and contain a lot of essential nutrients. It is a rich source of Vitamin E, good quality proteins, dietary fibres, zinc, magnesium, riboflavin, iron, calcium and potassium. Oxidative stress  (when your body doesn’t have enough antioxidants to fight free radicals) is a major cause of the deterioration of the skin’s collagen layer. Vitamin E is a very powerful antioxidant and it is present in abundance in almonds and almond oil.

You must also be wondering why is it called ‘sweet’ almond oil. Well, because we have bitter almonds as well, which is mostly used to impart scent and flavour, but sweet almond is your heart’s best friend. And not to forget, your skin also loves it.

    • Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil is rich in omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. In fact, it’s the only edible oil that contains more than 80% polyunsaturated essential fatty acids.

Hemp seed oil is often referred to as “hemp oil”, and it’s harvested by cold-pressing hemp seeds. Cold pressing requires the seeds to be de-shelled and then the outer husk must be removed. It should not be confused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) oil that is made with other strains of Cannabis. Hemp is the strain of Cannabis sativa that contains less than 0.3 percent THC. Hemp contains so little THC it would be impossible to ever take enough of it to feel any psychoactive effects.

    • Lavender Oil

We all know that lavender has been used from generations to scent the house or hair and used for its medicinal properties; but do we know about lavender oil? The oil that can substitute all your beauty products, whether for skin or hair. The sweet and fresh fragrance of lavender oil can cure headaches and help you to have a good night's sleep and cheer you up as well.

Its history dates back to 2500 years, historically Romans have used it to scent their baths, beds, clothes and even hair. Romans were the first to find the medicinal properties of the herb

    Recipes

    Skin Care Regimes For Everyday

    • For acne treatment

First cleanse your face by taking a few drops of Jojoba oil in a cotton pad. Next tone it with Rose water. Now take 2 drops each of Argan oil and Jojoba oil, add one or two drops of Tea Tree oil to it. After your face is dry, apply this concoction generously on your face and neck before going to bed. You will notice a difference in a week's time. This works best for oily skin as Jojoba oil tricks the skin into stopping the overproduction of its own oils.

    Or

First cleanse your face by taking a few drops of Moringa oil in a cotton pad and then tone it with Rose water. Take 2 drops of Moringa oil and Jojoba oil, add one to two drops of Lavender oil to it.  After your face is dry, apply this concoction generously on your face and neck before going to bed. You will notice a difference in a week's time. This works for every skin type (especially if you have dark spots and scar marks).

    • Stubborn marks and blemishes

Take 3-4 drops of Moringa oil and add a drop or two of Tea Tree oil to it. After cleansing with Jojoba oil and toning your face with Rose water, apply this mix of Moringa and Tea tree oil over your face before going to bed. You will see a visible difference within a couple of weeks.

    • Sunburn and tan marks

Take 2 drops of each of Moringa oil and Jojoba oil. Add a drop of Tea Tree oil or Lavender oil to it. Apply this concoction over the affected area and notice a marked difference within a few weeks. Also carry the rose water spray with you. Spray over your face after exposure to the sun to soothe your skin.

    • Rashes

Add a couple of drops of Tea tree oil to your rose water. Spray this on your rashes and later apply Jojoba oil to it. See them disappear like a miracle.

    • Dark circles and dark spots

Take 2 teaspoons of Sweet Almond oil and mix it with 2-3 drops of Tea Tree oil. Store it in a clean, empty bottle. First, apply Rose water on your dark circles or dark spots and then dip a cotton ball in the blend of oils and apply it on your dark circles or spots. Do this everyday. You’ll see the fading of dark circles and spots after a week.

This can be used as an under eye care as well.

    • Moisturizing

    Dry skin

First, spray Rose water on your face, neck or skin. Next take 8-10 drops of Hemp Seed oil and add a drop or two of Lavender oil and massage your face, neck, hands and feet. Hemp seed oil is a very good moisturizer and it had a comedogenic score of Zero, which means it will not clog your pores at all. You’ll find your skin to be more soft and hydrated after a couple of weeks. It will suit every skin type.

    Or

    Oily skin

First, spray rose water on your face, neck or skin. Take 4-5 drops of each Argan and Jojoba oil, and to it add 3-4 drops of Tea Tree oil. Then after a few minutes, massage the mixture on your face, neck, hands and feet. You’ll find your skin to be softer and hydrated after a couple of weeks. This works best for oily skin.

    • Lip care

Take 2-3 drops of Hemp Seed oil and apply it on your chapped lips. As this oil has immense nutrients,  it would moisturize your lips leaving an ever shining lustre.

*You can use any oil for lip care, but we would suggest Hemp Seed oil. If you choose an essential oil (tea tree oil), then make sure to dilute it with a carrier oil.

    • Makeup removal

Take 4-5 drops of Jojoba oil. Massage your face and wait for two minutes. Using a cotton ball, remove the makeup from your face. It will remove the waterproof makeup as well without harming your skin. After removing the makeup, generously spray rose water on your face and before going to bed apply some Argan oil for moisturising. This would ensure that your face is nourished and hydrated.

    • Dry & rough skin

Take 5-6 drops of Hemp seed oil and gently massage the rough patches with the oil. After some time (say 30 minutes), spray rose water on the affected area. You will see the difference in a couple of weeks.

*The kit is for you to experiment and make your own potion, you can mix the oils of your choice but these are the recipes that we suggest.

    * If you are pregnant or nursing, or have sensitive skin, allergies or any serious medical conditions, do not use these products unless advised by a physician or medical professional that it is safe. A skin patch test is always recommended prior to use.
